How to Wear Saree In Coaty Style

Follow these steps to wear the saree in Coaty style:

Step 1

Step 2

Make about 6-8 pleats of equal width of 4-5 inches, starting at the tucked-in end. Gather the pleats together, neatly, ensuring that the lower edges of the pleats are even and just off the ground and that the pleats fall straight and evenly. A Saree pin may be used to stop the pleats from scattering

Step 3

Neatly tuck the pleats into the petticoat at the waist, slightly to the left of the NAVEL in such a manner that they open to your left

Step 4

Now make the Pallav pleats using the other end of the Saree and fling it on your right shoulder directly. Pin it up

Step 4

Now make the Pallav pleats using the other end of the Saree and fling it on your right shoulder directly. Pin it up

Step 5

Off the two ends of the Pallav bring the right end below the right shoulder in the front. Pin that ends on the right shoulder

Step 6

See to it that borders on both the side should be of equal length to give you a Coaty look

Variation: Step 1, 2, 3 and 4 the same as above

Step 7

Hold the right end of the Pallav Pleats. Bring that end to the left side in the front by wrapping it around your body from back to front

Step 8

Pin that ends below the set pallav in such a way that it hides behind the pallav

You can make 1-2 pleats while pinning the end to make it tighter around the chest
